GREG STEWART
I was born in Camperdown, Sydney in 1958, we moved to Fairfield where we lived until I was 12ish. We then moved to Copacabana, Gosford. I did high school at Erina High and after school had finished I did a trade as a Motor Mechanic at the Gosford Ford dealership, I did my time there and then worked with my father in our own business as a smash repairer of cars, he was a panel beater, I did the mechanical and spray painting.
I then travelled Australia on my motorbike, lived in Kununurra for 6 months as a mechanic. Moved to Darwin and stayed there for 3.5 years doing half a dozen jobs of all types. Met my wife in Darwin, moved back to Copacabana for a while, worked again as a mechanic, bought a house at Avoca Beach, sold up everything and moved to Tassie where my wife was born. Worked again, bought a house, had 4 kids and then due to illness I had to stop work, in that break I got into computers, started building and fixing computers, it turned into a full on thing I did from home, I did that for the next 30 years among other things.
We recently sold up again we are now at Underwood in the house my wife grew up in.
I got involved with L&N.E.R 10 or so years ago, was asked to get on the board. I have been on the board for 6 or 7 years, in that time we joined TMSA which has been great. Also setup a website for LNER, a Google Workspace mail system, a Facebook site, and many other things. I then built the Railbugs and all the infrastructure that goes with that, grants, all approvals, engineers reports etc and we are now doing rides on those for the public.
